Pigtails

These pictures weren't as good as the first ones would have been of Riley in her pigtails as she wasn't being as cooperative with the camera this time but I managed to grab a few quick pics of her this morning before we left for the farm. We have a new calf that we are now having to bottle feed because it can't nurse from its mother. Riley was very interested in the new addition. She also spent most of the morning chasing 4 new baby kittens around the shop. She has one that keeps following her around and she always seems to step on its foot or tail. If it survives it will be a tough cat.

The Joys of Self-Feeding

Well this Sunday lunch episode resulted in a bath for Riley. She had raviolio's in her hair and all over herself and her high chair seat. I've yet to figure out why towards the end of the meal it makes sense to her to rub her hands in her hair...and then to cry when I try to clean her up. Who knows the mind of a 15 month old! She does attempt to use a spoon at times but often she tends to hold the spoon in one hand while she feeds herself with the other. I took some pictures of Riley's first pig tails but something happened to my camera and they all came out black! I hope it was a fluke. I've had this camera for a long time and really like it. I hope it isn't going to quit on me now.

Pool Time!

Riley tried out her kiddie pool this weekend. I think in hindsight we should have gotten a bigger (deeper) one. At the time it seemed like smaller would be better but when she stands up the water only comes up a little past her ankle. Maybe we'll get a bigger one for next year. She wasn't real crazy about it at first but eventually she began to enjoy it.

Visit to Grammy & Pa's

Riley spent a couple of days in Illinois this week with my folks while I was out of town for work. The first pictures are of her waiting to be picked up. She wore a pair of cowboy boots that had been given to her. We were able to get a picture of Grandpa with both of his girls (Riley and Reese). Reese is really growing fast. So far Riley doesn't really notice Reese much unless I'm holding her and then she is pretty jealous.
