Dress up

Riley was wearing her six gun last night.  Today she says she is a princess.  I dread seeing what she's done to her closet.

Frosty and Riley

Just like the real Frosty, this one didn't last long either.  Grammy and Riley did a good job.  Who knew Frosty liked New Holland?

Splashin' Around

We took Riley to an indoor water park this weekend in French Lick. She had a great time. Our room was only a few doors down and we spent most of Friday afternoon and all of Saturday morning going down the slide and floating in the river. She had a smile on her face most of the weekend. It was very clean and nice - even the bathrooms were nice. I've never been to a pool that didn't have gross bathrooms. So we'd recommend this as a good family time. Riley found a little boy in a Cars life jacket to hang out with. She kept yelling after him, "Boy, hey Boy."

The Chair Rack

This was literally hours of entertainment for Riley, Reese and Taylor. They figured out they could push each other and ride around and it was priceless. This was at a family get-together for my Dad's side of the family. It was in a gym-type fellowship hall. They took turns and only ran each other over on occasion. It was sweet.

Saturday Christmas Parade

Trying to get a picture of our float-riders was particularly diffucult. In every pic, a different group was smiling and looking so I put up a couple. The weather was nice, but windy. It was another great parade with a great float and a good-looking bunch of volunteers.

A White County Christmas

After the always mandatory meal at Dimaggio's Pizza in Carmi, IL, we decided to drive around a bit and look for Christmas lights. We stumbled upon an event going on down at Main Street. Several "actors" were doing skits and there was singing. We decided to stop and check it out. We visited the museum (didn't even know Carmi had one) and Riley got her picture taken on a church pew in the upstairs of the old Haas store building. Shortly after "Scrooge" came through in his night cap and gown. It was a fun time.

Lots of Cheese!

Riley was so cool in her Dora sunglasses that I had to get a picture before she ran in to school. Then after school I let her pick where she wanted to eat and of course it was her new favorite, "Los Portales". You'll note the napkin trail from the dip to her mouth. That keeps it from dripping on the table. She can eat her weight in dip.  I also cracked up at the ladies hair in the background of the picture.  Her hair makes almost a cone on top!

Fall Festival Pictures

My parents and brother's family came for our church fall festival at the farm this year. Riley enjoyed playing with Taylor and Reese. Unfortunately we couldn't get them all in one place at one time to do a good picture.

Pink Princess/Fairy God Mother

Riley couldn't decide if she was a pink princess or a fairy god mother this weekend when we visited family in IL.

Little Miss Snow White

Riley ready for trick or treating with her preschool class this morning. We actually ended up with two costumes this year. We made one and then found this one at a yard sale for $1. She's actually wearing both this year. This one worked out best for preschool today. Her class visited several buildings on campus. I have to say the folks in Sparks Hall go all out. Definitely check out Never Never Land on the 2nd floor if you are on campus today.

Riley's First Pumpkin

Riley carved her first jack o lantern tonight.  She said she wanted it to be sad so it even has a few tears.  She thought the inside was really gross!

Dogs, Cars and Trailers

Riley loves Millie the dog. She was hugging her and kept saying, "Take my picture, take my picture." She is about to out grow the cozy coup but it works well on the new sidewalk. Tim bought a spreader at a yard sale and Riley thought it would make a good trailer for her jeep. She is not so good about backing up with it yet. She also decided to do a monster truck rally on the pumpkin uncle Charles gave her. When I saw it, it was wedged under the back axle and she was crying that the handle got broken off of it (the crook of the stem). Otherwise the pumpkin was pretty much undamaged except for some scrapes.
