First Sunday Morning Worship

Riley attend her first church services at Coldwater and Lynn Grove this morning. She slept through both services without much of a peep. I'm sure that will change...

Road Trip - 1 Week

This picture is from Friday when we were leaving to go to Illinois to visit family. This was Riley's first trip and she seems happy about it. She had her bag packed and enjoyed visiting with family. Aunt Ashley took some pictures of her that we hope to have up soon they are really adorable.

Praying for Mommy & Daddy

Someone snapped this picture on Easter Sunday of Riley with her hands perfectly folded. It is a little fuzzy. Sometimes when she is awake and alert she will make a lot of facial expressions and twitches that almost make it look like she is whispering. I figure she is probably praying for us cause she knows we need it.

It is hard to see in this picture but most of Riley's 22 inches is her legs. She can really kick them too. Most the time she looks like she's riding a bicycle or in the marching band.

I tried to get these up earlier but our wireless was on the fritz. I took this one this morning after breakfast. We are beginning to see more facial expressions and bright eyes. My grandparents, Uncle Johnny, Aunt Janice and cousin Garen visited on Monday. Grandma-Great as she is called by the other great-grandchildren, is holding Riley in this picture.

The last picture is after Riley's first bath. She was less than joyful about it but there is nothing like a clean baby and the smell of baby lotion.

Home Sweet Home

We made it home last night about 7:30 and had our first night home together. It was a long one. Riley was up most of the night but we hope as we get into a new routine things will get better. Here is the picture we used for some of the announcements we mailed out to our non-internet friends and family.

Easter Greeting

We made this quick video as a greeting to the Storey family as we missed the family get-together this afternoon and thought I'd put it up for everyone to see. I'll try to get more pictures up tomorrow as we are getting ready to head home from the hospital in a few minutes.

First Pictures

Well I wanted to get her dressed into a cute outfit and get some good pics but the energy level is wanning a bit this afternoon so here is all I have today. Maybe we can get more up tomorrow. The last pic is Tim with our favorite nurse and birthing class instructor Kandie. Come to find out she grew up in Maunie and went to Carmi to school. Her grandfather is Ted Johnson. What a small world!

Riley is Here!

Riley Lynn arrived last night at 11:55 pm via C-section. She is 7lbs 10 oz and is 22 inches long. She also has blonde hair. Come back for pictures this afternoon.

Still waiting...

We're still waiting on miss Riley to make her first appearance. After a Dr. visit on Monday and a little high blood pressure I've been trying to keep my feet up. Mom came for a visit and was a great to help to get some last minute cleaning done. We go back to the dr. in the morning and hopefully will have more news of progress.

Back to the Dr.

Another good visit. He did say it looked like things might progress faster than expected. Meaning he doesn't think I'll make it to my due date. I go back on Monday. With a full moon next week maybe we'll have a spring break baby...

Dr. Visit

Not much to report this time. The baby is still head down and hopefully she will stay that way since she hasn't really moved out of that position in several weeks. The Dr. didn't have a guestimate on the weight but he said even though I don't look that big that he imagines there is plenty of baby hiding in there. I go back on Wednesday next week.

John Warren and Melanie had their baby yesterday--9lb 2 oz baby boy!

Office Shower

The staff in my office suprised me with a baby shower this week. It was so sweet. Everyone was there and we had a great time. I received a very nice digital photo frame for displaying Riley's pictures and a gift certificate for the day spa that I know will be wonderful and other goodies. Everything was so nice. I really appreciate their hard work putting it together. This is why I always say I have a great job and work with super people.
