Riley wore this dress to church on Sunday. It has Murray State University embroidered on the front in the school colors. Bonnie McNeely from the college of business sent this dress for Riley. The dark blue almost matches the color of her eyes.
Riley went for her 2 month check-up today. She was 2 months on Wednesday. I wish I had taken a camera. She smiled at the Dr. the whole time he examined her and never offered to cry - even when he checked her throat with the popsicle stick! She was 10lbs exactly and 22.5 inches long. He thought she was growing fast. Here she is hanging out at work today.
We celebrated Grandma's birthday at Aunt Janice's home in Carmi, Illinois. Cousin Carrie took a group picture of us, my parents and grandparents. Grandma Storey held Riley and was making her smile and coo.
This picture was taken on Mother's Day following a breakfast in Lynn Grove's new fellowship hall. Riley had the cutest pink dress on but the picture doesn't show it very well.
Riley is now 6 weeks old and she is really beginning to change fast. She is gaining weight and developing more personality. Here she is in a new outfit from Jim and Carla Davis. It is adorable with little pink flamingos on it.
We don't know this family but stumbled across their story on another blog. Their story is heart-breaking but their show of faith is extraordinary. They are both an example and a reason to be thankful for what you have.
